2025-2026 Nominations
It is that time of year again! We are accepting nominations for the Arizona Association of College Testing Administrators (AZACTA) Governing Board Officers. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to fill the President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer positions.
Per the AZACTA By-Laws, “Each member of the Governing Board shall demonstrate a commitment to actively participate in the leadership of the Association…Membership on the Governing Board shall be restricted to those individuals who are employed within the testing profession at an eligible postsecondary institution. “
The following is a brief description of the open positions:
- President-Elect (One-Year Term)
The President-Elect is primarily responsible for organizing the election of Officers and Governing Board members. This includes collaborating with the Membership Committee to develop a slate of candidates, publishing the slate to the membership, and managing the electronic general election process. Additional duties may be assigned by the President. The President-Elect also assumes the duties of the President in their absence. After completing a one-year term, the President-Elect automatically transitions into the role of President. - Secretary (Two-Year Term)
The Secretary serves as the recorder for all meetings, ensuring that minutes are accurately documented, approved, and published in a timely manner. This role is also responsible for maintaining and archiving the official records of the Association. - Treasurer (Seven-Year Term)
The Treasurer oversees the financial operations of the Association with approval from the President. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, handling deposits and expenditures, filing tax returns when necessary, and preparing financial reports for the Annual Meeting. The Treasurer also assists in establishing nonprofit status, if required. If the treasurer is unable to serve for 7 years, elections can be held sooner.
If you or someone you know would like to be a part of a great team of testing professionals from across the state of Arizona, complete the nomination form. The Deadline for Nomination Submissions is May 15, 2025.
