AZACTA 2024 Presentation Proposal

The presentation proposals for the AZACTA conference on June 5 & 6, 2024 at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, Arizona are now OPEN.

Format options include;

Presentation (30, 45, 50, 60 minutes)
The presenter(s) will have a range of minutes to share their information with the audience. In the time remaining, the audience may ask questions and a facilitated discussion may occur.

Roundtable Discussion/Panel (50, 60, 90, 110 minutes)
Roundtables are oral presentations and/or discussions with the audience/attendees regarding a chosen topic. Roundtable presenter(s) should be prepared with targeted questions to pose to those in the attendance in order to develop a rich discussion and create a co-learning experience. Roundtables are an ideal format for networking around a topic and developing in-depth discussion on a subject. The remaining time could be used for questions, reflection, and closing remarks.

Workshop (70, 90, 110 minutes)
Workshop presentations are an opportunity for the presenter(s) to engage the participants in a more involved, longer and deeper exploration of a topic. In a typical workshop, the presenter(s) could lead the audience through an examination of the topic through sharing information at first, then support a participation discussion, and then guide everyone through a learning activity. The remaining time could be used for comments, sharing, and wrap-up observations.

Vendor (Sponsorship) (30, 45, 60 minutes)
The vendor will have a range of minutes based off of the level of sponsorship given towards supporting the 2024 AZACTA conference. This is the vendors time to share and highlight their information with the AZACTA membership. If any time remains, the audience may ask questions and a facilitated discussion may occur.

Here are some possible topics which could include but are not limited to;

  • ADA accessibility products,
  • Computer monitoring software,
  • How to train new employees,
  • Ideas for supporting non-English-speaking clients/students,
  • NCTA certification/recertification,
